Mental Health and Well-being: Coping with Stress in a New Country
International students face many stressors that can become barriers to the teaching and learning process. Challenges such as adapting to a new culture, coping with loneliness, separation from family and friends, as well as managing financial pressures can impact the learning environment. This session will:
- Increase students’ awareness of how stressors can affect the mind and body.
- Share strategies for students to cope with stress.
- Identify signs and symptoms to pay attention to.
- Share resources to get help.
Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A session.
