The Ontario government is investing up to $2.5 million to build Hospice Mississauga’s first 12-bed hospice center, offering dignified end-of-life care for patients and their families in Mississauga and Brampton. The hospice will provide a home-like environment with palliative care, grief support, and specialized programs, including 24/7 staffing by healthcare professionals. This project is part of Ontario’s broader plan to improve access to palliative care, with nearly $20 million allocated in the 2024 budget to add new adult and pediatric hospice beds across the province.
